Meet the Author

Jonathan A. Kost, MD

Jonathan A. Kost, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain medicine specialist with more than three decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. He has devoted his career to the care of patients with complex, chronic, and often misunderstood conditions, including hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders.

Dr. Kost completed his Pain Management Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, following an anesthesiology residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center/Mount Sinai Hospital.

He founded and directed multiple multidisciplinary pain centers in Connecticut, including the Hartford Hospital Pain Treatment Center, Spine and Pain Institute at MidState Medical Center, and the Connecticut Spine and Pain Center (a CARF-accredited Pain Center).

He also served as the medical director and owner of Connecticut’s only EDS-internationally certified pain management center.

Dr. Kost has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at both the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, held executive leadership and advisory board roles within the Hartford HealthCare system, and founded and led the Connecticut Pain Society — while also advising the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission.

He is the Founder and CEO of Digital360Health (Scope Data, LLC), where he focuses on digital health innovation, pharmacogenetics, remote patient monitoring, and data-driven clinical decision support.
